October 2003 - Kilross Signs Major Distribution Agreement With Security Point A/S Denmark

Kilross Network Protection announced this week that it has signed a distribution agreement with the Danish company, Security Point A/S to offer companies here a regular independent audit of their firewall security systems.

"Hackers are looking for new vulnerabilities in firewalls all the time", says Tim Manning Sales & Marketing Director of Kilross Network Protection. "This means that many companies who believe their firewall is offering them adequate protection will find that it is not giving them the protection they deserve." To combat these false assumptions Security Point has a server on the Internet which is constantly updating a data base with the latest security vulnerabilities and weaknesses. The Security Point server checks the firewall and delivers the customer a report of high, medium and low vulnerabilities with detailed, easy to follow, step by step instructions on how to fix each of the problems. For a subscription of just €645 per year a company can have its firewall automatically checked for vulnerabilities on a weekly basis.

Larger corporations can also opt to put a Security Point Scanner Appliance on their own network which will not only check the firewall but everything behind it - vitally important for protecting against internal threats.
